BMW – Getting what You Paid For

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

Decisions, decisions. With so many cars available on the open market it’s sometimes difficult to make a wise buying choice. Considering the fact that an automobile purchase is typically a consumers second largest purchase after their home, it pays to be selective.

When considering the purchase of a luxury automobile, it isn’t just about the price. Overall value, appearance, even status and safety rating come into play.

Do yourself a favor. Go spend some time at your local BMW dealership. Be prepared to spend the afternoon, test driving and learning all you can about the models that interest you most. It’s important that you are right up front with your salesperson, letting them know that this is strictly information gathering visit – not a purchasing visit.

Pay attention to the little things and you will find that the reputation BMW has is well deserved. Look at the gaps between the body panels. You will find them to be even and consistent. The doors, trunk and hood all open and close with authority. When you sit in the driver or passenger seats, all of the controls are placed to provide a pleasant ergonomic experience.

After your visit to the dealership, expand your research at home through on-line searches. You will find that the safety ratings for most of the BMW models are exemplary. Advanced technology and superior engineering combine to make BMWs some of the safest cars on the road.

Talk to friends and family that own BMWs. Ask about their experiences and ask how much they love their cars. You will find that for many of them, after owning a BMW they would not purchase any other make of vehicle.

On the day that you’ve made the right decision, and you are driving home with a grin on your face and jealous stares from your neighbors, you will know that you have made a wise decision indeed.
